Our Plants

The Mark Dimmitt Desert Plant Conservatory displays a variety of cacti and succulents kept in a controlled environment in our greenhouse, and is dedicated to the exemplary botanist, Mark Dimmitt. We grow and propagate cacti for the USS Arizona Memorial located on the mall and help educate our students about the care and maintenance of our cacti and succulents.
The greenhouse currently houses over 100 unique species in 11 plant families, emphasizing the unusual botanical specimens that Mark Dimmitt personally values. Additionally, our Conservatory Project is designed to help us further our education goals, and tours will soon be available to the public.
