Asphodelaceae
Previously called Xanthorrhoeaceae, the Asphodelaceae family is primarily located in South Africa, and includes about 900 species of succulent herbs bearing basal or terminal leaf rosettes.
It is often dubbed the "aloe family" due to popularity of the genus Aloe in cultivation (1, 2).
