Our Plants
Asparagaceae
The Asparagaceae family includes 114 genera and 2900 species with 3 sepals, 3 petals, 6 stamens, and a 3-parted pistol, as well as many varying traits.
Because of taxonomic classifications, there are few cohesive characteristics of Asparagaceae. However, the "asparagus family" is often divided into 4 subfamilies that share similar traits: Agave, Asparagus, Beargrass, and Brodiaea (1, 2).
